Passive Income Tip:
Proponents of earning passive income tend to be boosters of a work-from-home and be-your-own-boss professional lifestyle. Passive income has been a relatively loosely used term in recent years. Colloquially, it's been used to define money being earned regularly with little or no effort on the part of the person receiving it. Passive income, when used as a technical term, is defined by the IRS as either “net rental income” or “income from a business in which the taxpayer does not materially participate,” and in some cases can include self-charged interest. Portfolio income is considered passive income by some analysts, so dividends and interest would be considered passive. However, the IRS does not always agree that portfolio income is passive , so it's wise to check with a tax professional on that subject. (investopedia.com)

#1 Dividend Stock Investing
The first way is with dividend stock investing. When you invest in the stock market you are buying very small part of a company which is called a share. Shares provide companies with money which they can use to grow their business, make more money, and hit their targets. Because you are giving them money, you are valuable to them. So a dividend is a reward for giving them money and holding their stock.
The second way to start is with REITS. REIT stands for Real Estate Investment Trust. When you buy a REIT, you become a shareholder of a company that owns income producing real estate. REITs are legally required to pay 90% of it's income in the form of dividends and because the value of real estate also tends to go up over time, REITs give you a nice combination of passive income and long term capital appreciation.
#3 Selling Products Online
The third passive income idea is ecommerce or selling stuff online. The thing about selling online is that you don't have to physically be there to sell your products. Your products are available to people all around the world, every day 24/7 no matter what you are doing. You can sell on eBay, Amazon, Etsy, and many other platforms. FB Marketplace is completely free by the way if you have extra stuff at home you want to get rid of.
Now I talked about investing REITs earlier which is a hands-off way to make money from real estate, but if you want to be more hands on then another passive income idea is to Airbnb properties or your own place.
